MyASP Account

Membership can be managed online through the new MyASP Portal. In order to receive benefits and an online 10% discount, ASP Members must create a MyASP account. 

Donors and those who purchase products from our AstroShop, such as educational materials and ASP Conference Series books can also create a MyASP account which will allow them to track their donations, change their credit card information for recurring donations, as well as have their order and shipping information already in our system.

Instructions to create a MyASP Account

We are excited to announce our upgraded MyASP Portal, a place on the ASP’s website where our members, donors, and those who purchase our AstroShop products, educational materials, and Conference Series books can manage their access and information online with the ASP.  If you are already  engaged online with the current ASP Member Portal, your experience will be improved!

Starting January 25, 2017 every ASP Member must set up a brand new My ASP account as soon as possible in order to take advantage of your online benefits and features.

You will be required to create a new account name and password in order to access all of your previous history with the ASP and in order to access your current information.

Step 1:

Visit (MyASP Home)

Step 2:

Click on “Create MyASP Account” from the left side of the very top of the page.

Fill in the First Time Here? Section. If you are an ASP member, please use the name, email, or zip code associated with your current membership. Click on Register.

Note: If you want to change the email address associated with your MyASP account after you have created it, please contact the Membership Department at or (415) 715-1400.

Payment by Check or Phone

We know that not everyone feels comfortable having their information online. Please visit our Membership page on our website or download our membership form to pay by check or credit card via mail. Donations are accepted by mail at any time as well. See our Contact information above.

Access to My Benefits

General ASP Membership includes online access to digital copies of the ASP Mercury Magazine as well as the online Astronomy Beat. Once you create your NEW MyASP account and log in, you have access to your digital publications as well as your 10% discount as you shop in the AstroShop.

Gift Memberships

If you are interested in purchasing a Gift Membership, please contact us by email at or by phone at 1-415-715-1400. We offer both a Student Membership ($35) and an Individual Membership ($55) with benefits. We will coordinate an email going out to the gift receiver so that they can have an online account to receive their benefits.

Technical Memberships

Technical Memberships (US only) include a $55 ASP Membership fee, which is fully deductible. The remaining fee covers the expense of the electronic and printed versions of the Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific (PASP)
